Female WWE star sends condolences to Roman Reigns following heartbreaking news
A female WWE Superstar recently took to X to send love and condolences to Roman Reigns and the Anoa'i family. The Tribal Chief's father, Sika Anoa'i, recently passed away at the age of 79.
Sika was a huge name in the pro wrestling fraternity in the 1980s. The Hall of Famer tagged with his brother Afa during the majority of his career. The duo, dubbed The Wild Samoans, wrestled for multiple promotions around the world before hanging up their boots. They also appeared in WWE in 2020 to honor Roman Reigns after his victory over Jey Uso in a Hell in a Cell match.
The news of Sika's passing was broken by his nephew Jahrus Anoa'i. Love and support have been pouring in for the Anoa'i family since the tragic update. Natalya also took to social media to send her condolences to Roman Reigns following the death of his father. The female star paid tribute to Sika.
"Sending so much love today to @WWERomanReigns and the entire Anoa'i family. My dad always spoke so highly of Sika and Afa and my grandfather had so much respect for The Wild Samoans when they wrestled in Stampede Wrestling. Sika was a legend and a pioneer in our industry in so many ways."
Roman Reigns is expected to return to WWE soon
Roman Reigns has stayed off the wrestling radar since dropping the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Solo Sikoa has been running the Bloodline in the Tribal Chief's absence, and the two are bound to clash once the latter makes his return.
While the date for Roman's return is not known yet, Triple H recently dropped a hint about his comeback, teasing that the Head of the Table could return on the road to SummerSlam.
"You see that shift of, 'We're running the show now. This is the new Tribal Chief. This is the new Head of the Table. This is where this is headed.' That's only going to last for so long before there is a return [of Reigns]. I can only imagine. Let's hope Heyman's nerves can take it. [...] You can really feel both shows ramping up as we come into summertime and we head into SummerSlam where all those stories will blow up."
While most expect Roman Reigns to be present at the Biggest Party of the Summer, the unfortunate passing of Sika could hamper the plans.
