"Fighting in order to climb the ranks in this division" – Top WWE tag team sends a message to Nick Aldis after RAW

The New Day is on course to challenge for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships once again. Following this week's RAW, they sent a message to both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.

Aldis was recently named the General Manager of SmackDown, with Pearce being promoted to the General Manager position on RAW. Triple H made the major announcement on the blue brand this past week.

Meanwhile, this week on RAW, The New Day defeated Alpha Academy. Speaking on RAW Talk, Xavier Woods stated that he and Kingston are fighting to climb the ranks in this division.

"We are fighting in order to climb the ranks in this division so that we can then again become WWE World Tag Team Champions. That's gonna happen here on Monday Night RAW. Maybe we go talk to a man named Adam Pearce. Considering that match we had was so piercing," said Woods [H/T: Fightful]

Kingston further addressed the possibility of Nick Aldis giving The New Day a shot at the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

"If Pearce won't give us that tag match, you know, we used to run SmackDown, maybe we'll go talk to Nick Aldis because SmackDown's definitely gonna want all this," said Kingston.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest are the current tag team champions. The Judgment Day duo defeated Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso to win the titles and become two-time champions.

Dutch Mantell spoke about Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce's feud

In recent weeks, there has been tension between Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, with both the General Managers hinting at the possibility of a brand war at Survivor Series.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell had a small suggestion for both Aldis and Pearce. He said:

"We called it right. I think those two could slow it down a little bit. Both of them are good talkers, especially Nick. Nick's going to be the heel, and they are looking at each other like, 'Listen, I'm the boss over here, you stay over there.' And that was plainly demonstrated tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with these two guys."

It now remains to be seen what plans WWE has in store for this year's Survivor Series premium live event.
