Financial factors possibly drove WWE's shocking decision against Damian Priest, feels ex-employee (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about Damian Priest missing out on a role in a Marvel movie. The star recently discussed the incident.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Archer of Infamy said that he had been offered a role in Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie. However, the star mentioned that things didn't pan out, and he didn't bag the role. He felt it had nothing to do with Marvel Studios and rather something to do with WWE.

This week on The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo detailed that it was most probably Vince McMahon's decision. However, the veteran felt that McMahon might have had his reasons. He detailed that possibly Marvel's offer was not good enough for the former WWE Chairman.

Russo stated that the company didn't have any vendetta against Priest for not letting him be in such a major movie.

"EC3, I definitely agree with you. That was definitely a Vince call. But I have to look at the other side of this coin, too. Maybe Vince didn't like the offer from Marvel. Maybe Vince didn't think it was enough money. I don't think Vince would have done it to spite. Damian Priest, I don't think, is the kind of guy you want to spite." [From 2:53 onwards]

Damian Priest's case is surprising since several active roster members, such as Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre, have made cameos in movies while being part of WWE.

While a movie role may be in the offing, the former Judgment Day member has to deal with the threat of Finn Balor at Bad Blood next month. The two stars will go one-on-one in a highly personal battle.
