Finn Balor breaks silence following his loss at WWE Bad Blood
WWE Superstar Finn Balor has finally broken his silence following his loss at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event last night. The Judgment Day member lost to his former tag team partner, Damian Priest, at the show.
The 43-year-old turned on The Archer of Infamy at WWE SummerSlam, costing him the World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther. The two locked horns with each other in singles action for the first time since they both became part of The Judgment Day. The action-packed bout saw the two former stablemates trade blows before Priest secured the win despite interference from Carlito and JD McDonagh.
Balor took to his X (fka Twitter) account earlier today to share a still from the match at Bad Blood where he looked visibly frustrated. The World Tag Team Champion captioned the picture "SUNDAY," possibly indicating his current state of mind in the aftermath of the premium live event.
Former WWE writer claims Finn Balor is not over with fans
Finn Balor has had a successful stint with The Judgment Day, becoming a multi-time tag team champion. The experienced performer currently holds the World Tag Team Championship along with his countryman, JD McDonagh. However, former WWE head writer, Vince Russo recently claimed that Balor was not over with the fans.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo show ahead of Bad Blood, the veteran shared his honest take on the two former stablemates facing each other at the premium live event. The 63-year-old claimed that going up against Balor wouldn't help WWE put Priest over as a babyface because Balor himself wasn't over with the fans.
"Everybody has just accepted the way things are and I am the one who doesn't know what I am talking about. Bro, it's the same thing. [...] We have got Damian Priest and Finn Balor. You are trying to get Damian Priest over as a babyface but in order to get him over as a babyface, the heel has to be over. Finn Balor is not over," he said. [0:46 onwards]

Balor's faction mate, Liv Morgan, suffered a slight setback against Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood. However, the 30-year-old retained the Women's World Championship as The Eradicator won the title match via DQ as a returning Raquel Rodriguez attacked Ripley.
It remains to be seen what is next for Balor and his stable on Monday Night RAW going forward.
