Finn Balor loses to 2 WWE legends after SmackDown goes off the air
Finn Balor teamed up with JD McDonagh and challenged for tag team title gold in the post-SmackDown dark match. As expected, they fell short to their opponents to send the crowds home happy.
Finn Balor hasn't had the best of luck as he lost the Undisputed Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 40 - with A-Town Down Under winning the SmackDown (now WWE) Tag Team Titles while the legendary team of The Miz & R-Truth, Awesome Truth won the RAW (now World) Tag Team Titles.
After WWE SmackDown went off the air, legends R-Truth and The Miz successfully defended the World Tag Team Championship against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
Before that, CM Punk made a big appearance after SmackDown went off the air - first providing an injury update before being confronted by Chad Gable.
The crowd loved seeing The Awesome Truth - particularly R-Truth, who has become a huge fan favorite among WWE fans.
CM Punk's appearance was advertised, but fans were surprised that it was a non-televised appearance rather than one for the WWE Draft 2024. There is a lot of speculation about where he could go - although many will expect him to follow Drew McIntyre wherever the Scotsman lands up.
The WWE Universe will find out this Monday Night when the Draft concludes on WWE RAW. CM Punk is again advertised for that - but it's unclear whether it's a televised appearance or not.
