Finn Balor makes a promise after Damian Priest costs him the World Tag Team Championship on WWE RAW
Finn Balor suffered a major setback on this week's WWE RAW, as Damian Priest cost The Prince and JD McDonagh the World Tag Team Championship. However, the loss has not dampened The Prince's spirits, as he took to X to send an assuring message.
Balor and Priest have been embroiled in a feud since SummerSlam 2024, where The Demon cost The Archer of Infamy the World Heavyweight Championship. Finn again interfered in Damian's World Heavyweight Title match at Survivor Series: WarGames to reignite the rivalry. However, Priest got one back on RAW this past Monday, as he stopped Balor from using a chair, eventually allowing The War Raiders to win the World Tag Team Championship.
However, Finn Balor seems determined to bounce back, as he listed his achievements on X, assuring fans that he will become a champion once again:
"10 [sic] years. 1265 days. 11 title reigns. 35% of the time as champion. Trust the math. Trust Finn. I will be CHAMPION again," Finn posted.
Finn Balor blamed Damian Priest for losing two WWE championship matches
Finn Balor and Damian Priest have been at odds ever since The Prince cost the latter the World Heavyweight Championship and kicked The Punisher out of The Judgment Day. While Priest was able to defeat Balor in a grudge match at Bad Blood, Finn reignited the rivalry at Survivor Series: WarGames, as he cost Damian a chance to win back the world title.
The two men then competed for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Match involving Gunther. The Ring General was able to retain his title at Saturday Night's Main Event.
After Damian Priest cost Balor the tag title this past Monday, the former NXT Champion was seen walking back furiously. Finn blamed his former stablemate, claiming he lost the opportunity to hold two titles because of the 42-year-old.
"[Damian] Priest, Priest. This is all your fault. It wasn't supposed to be this way. I was supposed to have two belts, and now I've got none because of Priest!" Balor said.
WWE is likely to pit Finn Balor and Damian Priest against each other in another singles match to settle the differences between them. The match could take place on the January 6 edition of RAW when the red brand makes its debut on Netflix.
