Finn Balor won't win World Heavyweight Title at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event, ex-writer explains why
WWE Superstar Finn Balor is set to compete in a Triple Threat clash at Saturday Night's Main Event for the World Heavyweight Championship this weekend. Meanwhile, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. shared his two cents on why he believes The Prince won't capture the world title this weekend for the second time.
Balor was slated to lock horns with Gunther for the World Heavyweight Title on December 14. To everyone's surprise, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce added Damian Priest to the championship match after The Judgment Day members succeeded in taking out The Archer of Infamy and The Ring General this past Monday on the red brand.
On his Wrestling with Freddie podcast, Prinze Jr. stated that he doesn't believe Finn Balor will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Gunther at SNME. He believed that while the crowd may want the 43-year-old veteran to succeed, the Imperium member will likely have a long title reign.
The former writer acknowledged that Balor may eventually become a world champion but suggested that this might occur after he leaves The Judgment Day.
"The crowd, I think, even though he [Finn Balor] is a bad guy, secretly wants him to have it as well. I don't there's any chance he wins the match against Gunther, but I guess there's a chance. I don't see why you build up Gunther unless he's going to have a long title run. So, I don't think it's Finn's time yet, but it has to be Finn's time again soon one day, maybe when he's out of The Judgment Day," Prine Jr. said. [From 20:46 to 21:15]

Former WWE employee wants to see a major change for Finn Balor
Vince Russo recently discussed the former Universal Champion's current character on TV. The veteran claimed he wants WWE to make a big change in Finn Balor to make him relevant again.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, the veteran voiced skepticism about WWE's ability to successfully book Finn Balor as The Demon.
"Bro, if you push him as The Demon, I'm fine with that. But how are you gonna figure out what to do with The Demon when you can't figure out what to do the Wyatt Sicks?"
