Five-time champion critiques Kevin Owens for not winning a singles championship for seven years, reveals what's missing
Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes opened the Bash in Berlin premium live event. The two WWE Superstars pushed each other to their limits, but Rhodes came out victorious. After the match, five-time Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett analyzed Owens' performance, critiquing him for losing his shot to win the coveted title.
The opening match at Bash in Berlin saw Kevin Owens bring the fight to Cody Rhodes. He hit the Undisputed WWE Champion with many Stunners, but The American Nightmare showed resilience and was able to hold onto his title at the end of the night.
During the bout, Kevin Owens got a couple of chances to severely hurt Rhodes and capitalize on his knee injury. However, the former Universal Champion decided not to after being hesitant to hurt Rhodes. After the match concluded and Rhodes was celebrating his win, Wade Barrett said that Owens hadn't won the World Championship for seven years because he had lost his killer instinct.
While the WWE Universe expected Cody Rhodes to retain the title, many fans speculated the Prizefighter would finally turn heel and remove his frustration with Rhodes. However, the two shared a heartfelt moment in the middle of the ring, with Owens raising Rhodes' hand before getting out of the squared circle.
