"Forever indebted to this man" - 4-time WWE champion on approaching Batista for a major appearance
WWE Superstars have often pivoted from professional wrestling and embarked on a new journey away from in-ring competition. Recently, Ronda Rousey recalled how she approached The Animal to make an appearance on her panel at Comic-Con.
Ronda Rousey has moved away from professional wrestling, as The Baddest Woman on the Planet has done it all inside the square circle. While the former MMA star might be away from active competition, she has a good relationship with several notable names in and around the sport.
In an interview with WrestleZone, the former RAW, SmackDown (x2), and WWE Women's Tag Team Champion revealed how The Animal was on her dream list and now he's set to moderate Ronda Rousey's upcoming panel at San Diego Comic-Con for Expecting the Unexpected.
"Honestly, I'm so shocked that he agreed to do this because he was at the top of my dream list. Like, who do you think can moderate it? I was like, wouldn't it be so cool if Dave Bautista did it? I'm like there's no way on earth he's going to say yes, and he actually did. I'm like forever indebted to this man, and we've like met before, and he's always been so polite and respectful and a sweetheart (...) It's very humbling, and I'm extremely grateful, and I'm looking forward to it," Rousey said. [From 14:25 to 15:25]

What has Ronda Rousey been up to post-WWE?
A few years ago, Ronda Rousey returned to the Stamford-based promotion for a second run as an in-ring performer. However, she was panned globally for her performances as the star's presence was diminished in the coming months with questionable booking choices.
After putting over new talents such as Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shayna Baszler on WWE's main roster, the 37-year-old star quietly departed from the company following SummerSlam in Michigan.
Later, Rousey made a handful of appearances on the independent circuit, including AEW's ROH. However, she embarked on a brand-new journey as she penned her own graphic novel, Expecting the Unexpected.
Six-time WWE World Champion Dave Bautista is set to moderate her upcoming panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
