Former AEW star comments after appearing in WWE for the first time since 2005

A former AEW star recently took to social media to send a message following his shock appearance on the latest episode of WWE NXT. The star being referred to is Frankie Kazarian.

Several stars, including Kazarian, participated in the 25-man Battle Royal on this week's episode of the developmental brand to determine the number one contender for Trick Williams' NXT Championship. The TNA star returned to World Wrestling Entertainment for the first time since 2005.

During his first stint, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion performed for the company's then developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling. Kazarian displayed a brilliant performance as he made it to the final four before being eliminated by eventual winner Je'Von Evans.

After competing in the 25-man Battle Royal, Frankie Kazarian reacted to Shawn Michaels' post on Twitter (X) and called himself ''King of TNA!'' The 46-year-old is a five-time X Division Champion and a three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion.

"And if you’re not down with that, I got two words for ya… #KingofTNA," he wrote.

Matt Hardy reacts to Frankie Kazarian and another TNA star's WWE appearance!

Apart from Frankie Kazarian, former TNA Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry participated in the 25-man Battle Royal on this week's NXT. Later, veteran wrestler Matt Hardy took to his Twitter (X) account to express his delight at the two TNA stars featuring on WWE TV, adding that the duo deserved the opportunity.

Mattitude further added that the TNA-NXT crossover was ''best for business!''

"Very happy to see [Joe Hendry] and [Frankie Kazarian] appear on [NXT] tonight. Both hugely deserving talents. The [TNA] and [NXT] crossover is 'best for business,' as the man with three Hs would say," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Je'Von Evans won the 25-man Battle Royal to earn a shot at the NXT Championship. The talented star will lock horns with Trick Williams at Heatwave 2024.
