Former Champion agrees to alliance with Alpha Academy member
The Alpha Academy's expansion might not be over, with a former United States Champion possibly joining the stable.
It was announced in a Digital Exclusive video before Monday's episode of WWE RAW that Akira Tozawa is joining the Academy as a junior member. Tozawa went on to challenge Bronson Reed to a match and lost.
Meanwhile, Baron Corbin was hyped when reports of a potential WWE Premium Live Event in Paris, France surfaced. Corbin got a rousing ovation in Paris during a live event there back in April.
When Corbin showed his excitement on X, Chad Gable asked him if they could team up if the PLE in Paris was confirmed. The Lone Wolf responded by saying he's open to teaming up with Gable.
"I'm game!" Corbin wrote.
The former rivals are excited about a potential WWE PLE in Paris. The company recently announced Bash in Berlin, the first-ever PLE in Germany next year. It seems like WWE is going global in 2024, with Elimination Chamber happening in Australia this February.
Alpha Academy lost to The New Day on WWE RAW
Alpha Academy had a night to forget in this week's episode of RAW. Chad Gable and Otis lost a tag team match against The New Day, while junior member Akira Tozawa was literally squashed by Bronson Reed.
However, WWE teased a potential future three-way match to possibly determine the next contenders for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship. Alpha Academy, The New Day, and DIY appeared in a backstage segment, with Tozawa providing comic relief.
Tozawa is a great addition to the stable because he's one of the most hilarious WWE Superstars out there. He also recently appeared on NXT this past Tuesday during Night 1 of Halloween Havoc, stealing Noam Dar's NXT Heritage Cup.
