Former champion announces she will not be at major WWE event
A popular WWE Superstar has announced that they will not be at a major event this weekend in Toronto, Canada. The promotion has been building toward Money in the Bank Premium Live Event tomorrow at the Scotiabank Arena.
Another major show will be taking place the day after Money in the Bank at the same venue. NXT Heatwave will be airing live on Sunday and is set to feature five title matches. Former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion, Cora Jade, is currently out with an injury. She held the tag title with Roxanne Perez back in 2022.
Cora Jade took to social media today to make a major announcement ahead of the premium live event on Sunday. Jade noted that she would not be attending the show and mocked fans who thought she would. You can check out her Instagram story by clicking here.
"I'm not coming to heatwave you idiot losers I have better things to do," she wrote.
Cora Jade suffered a torn ACL at a WWE NXT house show in January this year. She was facing Lyra Valkyria in a singles match when the injury occurred. Valkyria will be competing in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match tomorrow night.
Current WWE champion wants to headline WrestleMania with Cora Jade
NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez has shared that she would like to headline a WWE WrestleMania against Cora Jade someday.
The 22-year-old is set to defend her title against Lola Vice this Sunday at NXT Heatwave. In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling last July, the white and gold brand's star claimed she would be wrestling Jade for years to come. Perez added that she believes they would be in the main event of WrestleMania one day.
"I would love to wrestle Cora Jade for years and years. One day, I truly feel we are going to be headlining WrestleMania. So, yeah, we are the future, and this is why everybody should be watching NXT because we are the stars of tomorrow," said Roxanne Perez. [19:55 - 20:11]
