Former champion comments on WWE seemingly erasing her 413-day title reign from championship history

Former NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose recently addressed WWE snubbing her title reign during a promo mentioning former titleholders.

God's Greatest Creation returned to NXT in mid-2021 after spending several years on the main roster. The 33-year-old later captured the NXT Women's Championship and held it for 413 days before dropping it to Roxanne Perez prior to her release in December 2022.

In a recent promo, NXT star Tatum Paxley named former NXT Women's Champions. However, she snubbed a few names, including Rose's. On her Power Alphas podcast, the former Toxic Attraction leader commented on the matter. Rose revealed she had mixed feelings about what had happened.

"I did see a lot of comments. I wasn't really gonna respond 'cause I know how that happens. You know, if I respond, it starts to get crazy. But I did respond to one comment and all I said was: 'Yes, disappointing but not really surprised or not really not surprising.' And some people, you know, kinda went off on that and had their opinions and whatnot," she said. [11:30 - 11:52]

The former WWE Superstar speculated why WWE might have decided to exclude her name from the promo.

"I wrote that comment because I thought it was disappointing just because of all the hard work. Why can't someone still be recognized even if they're not in the company? I know Saraya wasn't recognized and Mercedes Mone wasn't recognized and they're in AEW so I kinda get that conflict of interest in a way. But like I'm not in a wrestling federation right now. So, I don't know. (...) But then I also see the side of, why they don't wanna talk about people that aren't, why give me notoriety or why give people to go look me up or go check me out on there, why would they wanna do that too? So, I understand that side. So, I get it. So, I feel like there's mixed off feelings." [12:40 - 13:26]

Will Mandy Rose return to WWE?

Mandy Rose spent nearly seven years as an active competitor in WWE. Since her release, the former NXT Women's Champion has stepped away from professional wrestling.

In an interview with Jamal Niaz of For The Love of Wrestling, Rose addressed whether she would return to the ring and WWE.

"Days like today, I will say, there was a part of me when I was sitting in the ring, doing the Q&A, and all the fans were there. I do miss it, I will say. I said in an interview not too long ago I didn’t really have the itch. I don’t know if I have the itch to go back and wrestle full-time right now. However, I do miss the fans. I miss the camaraderie. I miss the adrenaline rush. I’m doing a lot of amazing things, and I’m so grateful for where I’m at in my life. But do I have that adrenaline rush? Not really. I think that might be missing. I would do it for the fans. I would do it for the aspect of, there was some unfinished business." [H/T: Fightful]

Several former WWE Superstars have returned to the company over the past few years. It would be interesting to see if the former NXT Women's Champion would do the same.
