Former champion names "worst segment in the history of the world" from WWE RAW (Exclusive)

WWE has booked countless questionable segments and storylines over the years. While The Attitude Era was known for its shockers and controversies, there have been many other infamous moments throughout the history of the company, including in the current era. A pair of Hall of Famers have now named what they thought was the worst segment in the history of the entire world. This would be JBL and Gerald Brisco.

The Attitude Era was not the only WWE period with many racy occurrences but the 54-month stretch is widely regarded as having the most blatantly bad moments, by far. One such storyline focused on the romantic relationship between the then-28-year-old Mark Henry and then-76-year-old Mae Young. The program ended with Sexual Chocolate and The Matriarch of the Mat welcoming a child into the world, but Young gave birth to a bloody, rubber hand instead.

The Wrestling God sees the birth segment from the February 28, 2000, RAW as the worst in the history of the world. Speaking on the premiere episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's What Were They Thinking with JBL & Brisco series, John Bradshaw Layfield pointed to how the segment featured several skilled names: Young, Henry, Brisco, Pat Patterson, The Fabulous Moolah, and former WWE Creative Director Tommy Blacha, who played the EMT in the segment. Despite the talented lineup, Brisco commented on the absurdity of the entire story.

"What were they thinking, man? [laughs]," Gerald Brisco said. [From 14:48 to 14:50]

Layfield then chimed in with his thoughts, noting that there was a star-studded cast booked for the worst segment ever. The former WWE Champion reiterated how he thought this was such a bad segment, but he still enjoyed it. The segment was reportedly produced by a hands-on Vince McMahon and his sidekicks.

"Think about this... think about all the Hall of Famers in one shot. You had Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Mark Henry, and Mae Young, and Tommy Blacha, who is one of the greatest writers of all-time, [and Fabulous Moolah]. You had a star-studded cast for the worst segment in the history of the world: Mae giving birth to a hand, which I thought was fantastic," JBL said. [From 14:50 to 15:12]

Blacha is rarely discussed, but his name has been floating around of late after he appeared on podcasts and other platforms this year. Blacha joined WWE in 1999 after leaving The Conan O'Brien Show. He was originally hired as Vince Russo's replacement but left the company in 2001. The Hollywood veteran, known for many popular projects, once promoted wrestling/MMA events in Las Vegas.

Mark Henry reacts to his son joining WWE

News broke sometime back that Jacob Henry has signed with WWE. The 18-year-old son of Mark Henry played high school football and is headed to the University of Oklahoma on a wrestling scholarship.

The son of The World's Strongest Man confirmed his signing during SummerSlam weekend after sharing a backstage photo with Triple H, commenting on how patience was a virtue. Mark reacted to the photo with a one-word acknowledgment.

"Touché!" wrote Mark Henry.

The former Sexual Chocolate recently made some telling comments about his son beginning a pro wrestling career. He made a bold prediction on Jacob's career and noted that he was deeply in love with the sport, and is set to move to Orlando to begin training.
