Former champion omitted from RAW roster; WWE future unclear following injury

A popular WWE Superstar appears to have been omitted from the RAW roster during his injury. The star in question has not competed in a match since the July 2 edition of NXT.

Tyler Bate was in a tag team with Pete Dunne known as the New Catch Republic before going down with an injury earlier this year. The 27-year-old suffered a torn pectoral muscle and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. Dakota Kai took to her Instagram story today to share USA Network's promotional graphic of RAW's roster.

Bate is noticeably absent from the photo, while Seth Rollins can be seen in the top row. The Visionary is out of action with an injury but was included in the graphic of RAW's roster. Dakota Kai is also currently out with a torn meniscus, and you can check out her Instagram story by clicking here.

Seth Rollins was attacked by Bronson Reed on the episode of WWE RAW following SummerSlam last month. The former North American Champion hit Rollins with several Tsunami Splashes, and The Visionary has not returned to television since. Pete Dunne has become a singles star since Tyler Bate's injury and will be competing in a Fatal 4-Way match tonight on RAW to determine Bron Breakker's next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship.

WWE RAW star names AJ Styles as his dream opponent

Tyler Bates' tag team partner, Pete Dunne, recently named AJ Styles as his dream opponent in WWE.

Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter in an exclusive interview earlier this year, The Bruiserweight named AJ Styles as his WWE dream opponent. He noted that he was a big fan of the veteran's work before he signed with the promotion.

"I wrestled in recently a Four-Way, but I grew up admiring AJ Styles a lot. I was a big fun of obviously his independent stuff at that time and that early TNA stuff. We had the wrestling channel back in the UK, so... And he was on it a lot and he was somebody I looked up to a lot." [1:40]

Tyler Bate has won several titles in NXT but has never captured gold on WWE's main roster. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for Bate when he returns to action and if he will reunite with Dunne down the line.
