Former champion refuses to acknowledge loss against The Street Profits
LA Knight has refused to acknowledge his loss against The Street Profits tonight.
On SmackDown, the former Million Dollar Champion teamed up with Rick Boogs for the first time to face The Street Profits.
Before the match could begin, LA Knight, in his usual cocky fashion, claimed that he could beat Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford with any tag team partner, and he called out Boogs to be his partner in the bout.
The match was quite interesting, and The Street Profits were able to pick up the win by pinning Boogs. Following the match, LA Knight attacked Boogs for costing him the match.
After the match, Megan Morant interviewed LA Knight in a WWE Digital Exclusive. Knight refused to acknowledge the loss and claimed that it was Boogs who lost since he was the one pinned in the match. He then vowed to make Dawkins and Ford "pay the piper."
"Did I lose? Did you see me lose there? Did you see my shoulders get pinned to the mat? Did you see me tap out? Did you see me get counted out? Did you see me get disqualified? Nah! You didn’t see none of that! What you saw was another man get beat. What you saw was me sitting outside trying to get back in but being held by the illegal guy. That’s what you saw."
He continued:
"What everybody in here saw was a loser Rick Boogs. What everybody saw was a man who didn’t get the opportunity to do what I still need to do to The Street Profits. Oh, but it will come. The time will come. Boys, you got to understand something. If I’m telling you "you’re gonna pay the piper." Toot! Toot! You’re gonna pay the piper! He is I and I am him," Knight said.
One can only imagine what he has in store for Dawkins and Ford next, but whatever, The Street Profits should be able to handle him.
