Former champion shares one-word tease ahead of major match on WWE RAW

Tonight's WWE RAW is scheduled to air live from Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Ahead of the show, former Women's Champion IYO SKY shared a message on social media.

Amid growing tension within the faction, Damage CTRL is scheduled to face the team of Lyra Valkyria and former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Carter on RAW. The six women were involved in a backstage brawl last week after Lyra confronted the heel stable following Dakota Kai's loss in the Money in the Bank qualifying Triple Threat match.

IYO SKY has looked visibly frustrated with her fellow faction mates losing continuously. WWE has been teasing a potential breaking up of Damage CTRL for weeks now. Ahead of tonight's Monday Night show, The Genius of Sky took to X/ Twitter and posted a match graphic of her match against the babyface team. She also sent a one-word message possibly hinting at a massive twist.

"Tonight. #WWERaw," she wrote.

IYO SKY's last in-ring appearance was during the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match this past weekend. The Damage CTRL member put forth an incredible performance at the premium live event. Unfortunately, her efforts fell short as Tiffany Stratton retrieved the briefcase to become Ms. Money in the Bank.

Damage CTRL member hypes upcoming "dream match" outside WWE

Rossy Ogawa left Stardom earlier this year to create his own promotion, Marigold. Last month, the newly formed promotion announced a singles match between IYO SKY and Utami Hayashishita. The much-awaited bout is scheduled to take place on July 13.

After the match was announced, IYO SKY took to X/Twitter to hype up the contest featuring two of Japan's top female professional wrestlers. The former NXT Women's Champion referred to it as a "dream match," urging fans not to miss the once-in-a-lifetime contest.

"As a WWE Superstar, I will enter the ring at #マリーゴールド July 13th at Ryogoku Kokugikan. This will be a 'dream match' for women's wrestling fans not only in Japan but all over the world. This premium fight will never happen again. Please look forward to it,'' she wrote in Japanese.

Things have not gone in the favor of Damage CTRL since they joined the red brand earlier this year. The faction members, however, would hope to secure a win tonight to boost IYO SKY's confidence ahead of her upcoming match against Utami Hayashishita.
