Vince Russo questioned WWE's decision to book Finn Balor in a World Heavyweight Championship match

On Monday Night RAW, Adam Pearce granted Finn Balor a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after he ambushed Gunther. Following the reigning champion's match against Dominik Mysterio, he was caught off guard by The Prince, who hit the Coup de Grace thrice on The Ring General.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo questioned WWE's decision to put Balor in a World Heavyweight Championship amid his and JD McDonagh's lack of tag title defenses. He said:

"Chris, the tag champs have defended the belts twice in six months. Come on, guys, like seriously. I'm not being a hard 'you know what,' but this stuff is ridiculous. And then, on tonight's show, the guy who defended the tag titles twice in the past six months now has a shot against Gunther? Come on, guys! Don't sit there and tell me this is brilliant booking, it's not!"
