Former Champion wrestles his first-ever tag team match in WWE on SmackDown

LA Knight returned to WWE TV after skipping last week's episode of SmackDown, but this time he made it clear that he was focusing on the Tag Team Championships.

Knight was joined by Rick Boogs and the two men looked to take the fight to The Street Profits, who they were able to dominate for a good portion of the match. In the end, it was Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins' chemistry that saw them past the duo after Ford hit Boogs with a frog splash from the top rope.

Interestingly, Knight then turned on Boogs and hit the Blunt Force Trauma, which appeared to mark the end of their union.

Whilst Boogs has been in tag teams in the past, most famously with Shinsuke Nakamura, this is the first time that Knight has competed in a standard tag team match in his WWE career.

Knight competed in a six-man tag team match which also included Gunther whilst he was in NXT. But this is his first two vs. two match but doesn't appear as though it will be his last since he now has a target on the Tag Team Championships.
