Former champions make in-ring return on SmackDown in 3 months; suffer crushing defeat to Street Profits
Former champions have made their televised in-ring return to SmackDown after almost three months. However, they suffered a crushing defeat to the Street Profits.
Pretty Deadly used to be one of the most entertaining tag teams on NXT for quite a well, winning the NXT Tag Team Championship. Their performances earned them a main roster call-up, where they continued their entertaining antics. Elton Prince and Kit Wilson were involved in a long feud against Brawling Brutes. Despite being fun, they haven't appeared on SmackDown since March 2024.
Last week, Pretty Deadly interrupted the Street Profits backstage, which led to a match being set up for tonight. During this, Wilson and Prince tried their best to win. However, that wasn't enough, as Street Profits put them away in the end following a massive Frog Splash from Montez Ford.
This was Pretty Deadly's first televised match since the March 29 episode of SmackDown, where they beat Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. However, they have recently competed in a few dark matches and house shows.
With this win, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins are back on track to win the WWE Tag Team Championship. Their path has been derailed in recent months due to the Final Testament.
