Former "criminal" makes stunning claim about Vince McMahon's relationship with the mafia
Vince McMahon led WWE for multiple decades before leaving the company earlier this year. Meanwhile, a former WWE employee's brother recently claimed the former chairman had ties with the mafia.
In a recent episode of the Wrestling with the Devil podcast, former WWE employee Tom Cole's brother, Lee Cole, discussed several topics regarding Vince McMahon with his guest, former head writer Vince Russo. During their conversation, Lee claimed the former WWE Chairman had ties with the mafia.
Tom Cole's brother pointed out that he was a ''criminal'' who ''grew up on the streets.'' Hence, he knew how the mafia worked, claiming McMahon could not hold shows in certain areas without getting the mob's approval.
"You know, I was never in the life but being around the life, and you know this as a New Yorker if you are a criminal, and I'll be the first person to say I was a criminal. I grew up in the streets. That's why I lived. That's how I survived. And you're around those people if you're a criminal because you don't do nothing [sic] in New York without them having a part of it. It's just like with Vince McMahon," he said.
Lee also stated that the 79-year-old had to contact the Genovese family in New York and go through the Angiulos brothers and the Patriarca family in Boston to hold shows there. He added that the Angiulo brothers attended WWE shows and would leave with a bag of money.
"Did Vince McMahon have mafia ties? Vince McMahon could do nothing in New York unless he went through the Genovese family at Madison Square Garden. He could do nothing in Boston unless he went through the Angiulos and the Patriarcas up there. So, of course, Vince McMahon has mafia ties, you know. And that's why Billy Graham came out years ago and said it. And people said, 'Oh, Billy is exaggerating.' No, Billy's right. The Angiulo brothers used to sit right up front in the front row, and they would wait there until the end of the day to be handed a bag of money because back then it was all cash," he said. Ex-WWE star was warned not to speak against Vince McMahon
Former WWE Superstar Paul Roma recently disclosed that he contacted a well-known attorney from New York to reveal some information about Vince McMahon after he left the company. However, the lawyer warned him not to speak against Mr. McMahon, telling him that he would put his wife and children in danger.
On the Power & Glory podcast, Roma stated that he had heard a rumor that McMahon was connected to the Irish Mafia. Hence, he did not want to take the risk.
"Now, I've heard rumor, and again rumor, that he was connected, Vince that is, to the Irish Mafia. That may be true. I didn't know. Did I wanna find out after talking to that attorney? No, I don't want to put my kids in harm's way. If it was just me, myself, sure, then maybe I'm willing to take that chance. I mean, you're only so tough; you know what I mean? And you're not gonna stop a bullet other than it being inside you," he said.
Former WWE Superstar Mario Mancini also recently claimed McMahon had a known hitman who "took care of his dirty work," noting that the henchman was still alive.
