Former Queen of the Ring sends a message ahead of big grudge match on WWE RAW

WWE RAW is rife with several official and unofficial clashes between superstars. Adding more onto the plate of General Manager Adam Pearce, former Queen of the Ring Zelina Vega has sent a message ahead of her match on the red brand.

The 33-year-old WWE star will team up with Rey Mysterio to take on Ivy Nile and Chad Gable. The Latino World Order members have been in the crosshairs of American Made for some weeks now, and the heel faction has ambushed them several times.

Both factions also gave statements in backstage interviews showcasing the heat between the two groups. Now, before the November 18 episode of WWE RAW, Zelina Vega reacted to the promotional poster of her upcoming match and sent a message via a tweet on X, which reads 'Long live the race.'

“VIVA LA RAZA #LWO 🇲🇽🇵🇷,” she wrote.

Notably, Chad Gable had interfered in the final round of the Number One Contender’s tournament for the World Tag Team Championship and attacked Rey Mysterio. As a result, the Hall of Famer lost the match, allowing The War Raiders a title shot against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

While Gable had got the better of Mysterio, Nile couldn’t make her attack on Vega two weeks ago. Instead, she later received a threatening message from Vega.

Zelina Vega deems Ivy Nile insignificant in her pursuit of the WWE Women’s World Championship

On the November 3 episode of WWE RAW, Dragon Lee faced Chad Gable in a singles match with Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile at ringside. Gable tried to pin Lee using the ropes for support, but Vega moved his legs and broke the pinfall.

This prompted Nile to attack Vega, leading Rey Mysterio to enter the arena to aid Zelina and Lee from any underhanded tactics. Seeing his chance, Gable tried to unmask the Hall of Famer but was taken out and defeated by Lee instead.

Following this, Zelina Vega appeared for a backstage interview where she was asked why she thought Nile was targeting her. In response, the former Queen of the Ring, who had previously eliminated Nile in the 15-Woman Battle Royal to earn a title shot against Liv Morgan, said:

“Probably because she's insignificant to me. She's probably mad that I eliminated her earlier and in the sweetest way with the 619, right? But for me, she's insignificant because the Women's World Championship is all I've ever wanted. That's the only thing I have on my mind. Not Ivy Nile, whatever, okay? Liv Morgan, when I waved to her like that, it was me basically saying, I'm never going to get off your neck until I get that championship. Ivy, listen, I've starved for this, I've suffered for this, and I've also survived people like Rhea Ripley, like the EST, Bianca Belair. I've survived the best of the best so trust me, I'll survive this too, and I will punish Ivy for even dreaming of coming after me.” [0:11 onwards]

Thus, Vega declared that she wouldn’t let anyone deviate from her path to becoming the next WWE Women’s World Champion.

It will be interesting to see how she deals with American Made and gets back on track to challenge Morgan for her belt once again.
