Chelsea Green opens up about Matt Cardona's potential WWE return

Matt Cardona was released from WWE in 2020 after being with the wrestling promotion for fifteen years. After parting ways with the Stamford-based company, he wrestled in multiple promotions and became one of the top names on the independent circuit, winning several championships along the way.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Chelsea Green claimed she is patiently waiting for her husband to return to the global juggernaut. The former Women's Tag Team Champion stated she wanted to team up with Cardona for a Mixed Tag Team match inside a WWE ring.

Green further pointed out that she believes the former Zack Ryder will rejoin one day.

"I am patiently waiting. Because not that I want to be partnered up with him [Matt Cardona] in WWE. That would be great. I think we could have an amazing mixed match, tag team division, whatever it is. But I don’t know. I don’t know why, I would love to know why. I would love to be a fly on the wall of kind of like the meetings of the top guys in WWE. But I do feel like in my heart of hearts, it’s only a matter of time. It feels crazy that he wouldn’t be," Chelsea Green said.
