Former Universal Champion makes WWE in-ring return after 393 days on RAW
On the latest episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, former Universal Champion Braun Strowman competed in his first televised match in over a year. His last match on the red brand was on May 1, 2023, when he and Ricochet defeated Alpha Academy in tag team action.
The Monster of All Monsters was involved in a match against JD McDonagh on this week's WWE RAW. During the bout, Strowman slammed The Judgment Day member into the mat. Finn Balor provided a distraction, which allowed JD to hit his larger opponent. However, the latter took him out with a headbutt.
Braun Strowman hit JD with a chop in the corner and tossed him across the ring. He then slammed him into the mat again and went for a running splash in the corner. He tried to go for another one, but JD McDonagh tripped him, causing Strowman to stumble into the ring post. JD then targeted Braun's knee at ringside.
Back in the ring, Braun Strowman sent JD crashing into the mat with a back-body drop. Balor tried to interfere again, but the former WWE Universal Champion tossed him into the ring. Carlito came out, and Strowman took him out with a clothesline.
Braun then hit JD McDonagh with a powerslam and won his first match in 393 days. After the match, Judgment Day attacked him, but Strowman managed to get up and chase them to the back.
