Former Universal Champion surely complained about his booking on WWE Monday Night RAW, says veteran
A former Universal Champion has been on a losing streak in WWE for nearly a month. Last night on RAW, he suffered another loss against a current champion. Meanwhile, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman believes that the wrestler probably must have complained about his booking to the Triple H-led creative team.
The superstar in question is Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men's last televised victory came on June 17, when he defeated Chad Gable on RAW. He has since lost three matches on the red brand. Last night, he was defeated by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who had a confrontation with his SummerSlam opponent, Gunther, before the match.
Speaking on the Behind The Turnbuckle podcast, Jonathan Coachman claimed the former Mr. Money in the Bank was a sacrificial lamb in Priest and Gunther's storyline.
The former interim RAW General Manager added that the former Universal Champion must have complained to Triple H and the creative team about the recent booking.
"They did not do Braun Strowman any favors tonight. I mean, I don't know that he's ever been in the greatest shape, but he just is so big and so heavy right now. He's still trying to do these moves running around the ring, and he just doesn't have the speed or the stamina; I don't know what, but it's just that he is... I know he was cut, and they brought him back, and I've always loved Braun Strowman as a human being, but tonight, you know he was gonna be a sacrificial lamb because he was in the middle of those two. So, they didn't do him... And I'm sure, knowing some guys like I know them, I'm sure he was complaining all day," he said. [12:00-12:35]
Can Braun Strowman revive his WWE career by forming a faction?
Since his return to WWE nearly two years ago, Braun Strowman has not been involved in a top storyline. Hence, the former Universal Champion might need to go in a new direction to revive his career.
In an interview with Ten Count Media, The Monster Among Men disclosed that he was open to forming a faction with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. He pointed out that the three of them had several common traits.
"Yeah, we actually joked about it the other day in the locker room about having a three-way, and the losers lose their names or [the] winner loses their name or whatever. If I'm a fan watching at home, I'm paying my money to see that. It's three pretty large human beings. One really large human being with two young up-and-comers in the WWE. Bron [Breakker] being really, really young. Bronson's been in the business for a while but [is] still relatively new to the roster and things like that. Another big guy. And like I said, to have an opportunity to get in there and chop some meat with big boys is what made me a wrestling fan," he said.
While many thought Strowman could be involved with Wyatt Sicks due to his history with Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family, that did not happen. It will be interesting to see what Triple H has in store for the former WWE Universal Champion in the coming days.
