Former world champion nearly retired seconds before blockbuster WWE RAW debut; credits Chelsea Green
Chelsea Green has amassed quite a fan following after returning to WWE in 2023. A current AEW star spoke about how a career-changing moment with Green helped her stay with WWE for a longer time.
Green is currently working with Piper Niven as one of the top members of the RAW women’s division. However, she wasn’t a big star during her first run with the company.
AEW star Deonna Purrazzo recently opened up about how she was close to quitting WWE before she was approached to team up with Chelsea Green. In an interview with Irish Wrestling Podcast, the former TNA Knockouts Champion detailed that she had had her resignation letter ready.
"I had an email in my drafts to send to say like this isn’t working out for anyone. You know, I think it would be best for me to move on and be released,” she said.
She added that she got an email to go to RAW and decided against quitting at that moment. Teaming with her real-life friend Chelsea Green on the main roster was a dream come true for her.
"I got that email to go to RAW, and I was like, guess I shouldn’t quit,” she stated, before talking about her RAW debut. “It was very, very cool. And couple that with the fact that Chelsea and I got to do it together… It’s one of the best days of my career." [H/T: RSN]

Chelsea Green is aiming to win WWE's Money in the Bank briefcase
The sky is the limit for Chelsea Green in WWE following her return to the company in 2023. She has been playing a great new character that has seen her amass an even bigger fanbase.
Green is now looking to win the Money in the Bank ladder match to secure a shot at any women’s title. The cherry on the cake would be a win in her home country Canada.
Triple H could trust Chelsea Green with the MITB win as she is doing a great job on RAW. It would be great to see her hold the briefcase for a long time and tease cash-ins before ultimately winning her first singles title in the company.
