Former WWE Attitude Era star threatens to steal Brandi Rhodes from Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has a target on his back, not just in WWE but from people outside the company. Retired wrestler Val Venis recently targeted Brandi Rhodes in a controversial post on his social media.

Val Venis isn't someone that wrestling fans will recognize easily. Those who've followed him since The Attitude Era know he became one of the popular names, thanks to his adult movie star gimmick.

During his time in the Stamford-based promotion, the 53-year-old wrestler won the Intercontinental Championship twice, the European Championship once, and the World Tag Team Title once with Lance Storm.

Since his retirement in 2019, Venis has made headlines for all the wrong reasons. He doesn't mince his words when expressing his thoughts.

Earlier today, Val Venis took to his X (Twitter) handle to threaten to steal Brandi Rhodes from Cody Rhodes.

"The gender-confused IWC freaks don't understand that I would charm and finesse Brandi out of Cody's pants, slip her into a sundress, and by the end of the night, she’d rediscover the essence of true femininity and fully embrace her womanhood," Venis wrote.

Val Venis has previously taken a shot at Cody Rhodes

This isn't the first time Val Venis has lashed out at Cody Rhodes. He previously called out The American Nightmare for supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

While it is unlikely that this social media warfare will turn into an on-screen angle, Val Venis is open to the idea of returning to WWE for the first time since being released in 2009. In an appearance on the Attitude Era podcast in July 2023, the veteran said:

"Well, you know, never say never. But right now, I just got way too much going on. But definitely. I mean, never say never. You know, I could always end up flipping that switch and, you know, making another appearance at some point. But we'll see. We'll see. I'm not counting it out. I'm not counting it out."

As for Rhodes, he's in the midst of a never-ending feud with The Bloodline. His temporary alliance with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood prompted Kevin Owens to finally snap at him in one of the most unique heel turns in the history of the business.
