Former WWE Champion could "1000%" defeat Gunther for the Intercontinental Title, according to legend (Exclusive)
Wrestling veteran Vince Russo believes Jinder Mahal could dethrone Gunther as the IC Champion if WWE pushed the former to challenge the latter.
The Ring General has proved to be unbeatable as the Intercontinental Champion. From Sheamus to Ricochet to Drew McIntyre, many top performers have challenged but failed to take the title from Gunther. Now that he's moved to RAW as part of Draft, it has opened up doors for new contenders to stand up to him.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo spoke about a possible feud between Gunther and Jinder Mahal. The former WWE writer believes the duo had the potential to deliver top-notch matches if they cross paths.
Russo went as far as to say he could even see Mahal end Gunther's IC Title reign. However, he wondered if WWE would explore this feud as he believes the promotion often chooses to go down the most predictable and "obvious" paths.
"Bro, I bet you, Jinder, and Gunther could have matches that tear the house down and the condition he's in; bro, Jinder, you would believe 1000% he could beat Gunther (for the IC Title). These are the things that I would do. But they do things that are most obvious, the least exciting, and nobody gets over," said Vince Russo. (4:01 - 4:29)

WWE star Mustafa Ali says Gunther is a "bully"
Mustafa Ali is set to challenge Gunther for the IC Championship after winning a Battle Royal to determine the new contender on the latest episode of RAW. The duo would go to war at WWE Night of Champions. Ahead of the show, Ali appeared on The Bump and took shots at Gunther, saying he was a "bully."
He also mentioned how The Ring General does not defend his title as much as he should and promised to put it on the line more often if he won the gold.
"I know Gunther; he gave an honest effort. He's been trying to restore honor back into the ring. You know, I just think he's been a big bully. I think he's been protecting the championship. I don't think he defends it as much as he should. But with me as the Intercontinental Champion, I'll be defending it on Monday, on Friday, on Tuesdays; I don't know if we're going to have a show on Wednesdays, maybe we can just make a show just for me on Wednesdays, I don't know," said Mustafa Ali.
Regardless of who wins, it's safe to assume Mustafa Ali and Gunther could arguably have the best match of the night in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
