Former WWE champion achieves unique milestone

Since taking over as WWE's Chief Content Officer in the summer of 2022, Paul "Triple H" Levesque has brought back several talents, who were seemingly unfancied by the former Chairman, Vince McMahon. While not all of them have managed to get over with fans, there is one name who arguably did better than most.

Chelsea Green has become very popular with the WWE Universe, thanks to her impeccable comic timing and character work. Suffice it to say that it took her almost a decade to find her footing in the Stamford-based company.

The 33-year-old made her first appearance in August 2014 during Stephanie McMahon's rivalry with Brie Bella, who had married AEW's Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan) that year. Green portrayed Bryan's physical therapist, "Megan Miller" who had an affair with him.

Green then reappeared as herself in 2015 as part of Tough Enough season six, before noteworthy stints in TNA and Lucha Underground. Finally, she signed with WWE in 2018. However, after performing in NXT for two years and briefly on SmackDown, she was released in 2021.

For the Hot Mess, the third time was the charm, a unique milestone, where she finally came into her own. Under Triple H's regime, Green returned at Royal Rumble 2023. She immediately found a surge in popularity. Later that year she won the Women's Tag Team Championship, her first in the company.

Earlier this year, she expressed a desire to see her husband, former WWE Superstar, Matt Cardona, return to the company.

Chelsea Green texted WWE CCO Triple H asking for her job back

During her appearance on Ryan Satin's Out of Character podcast last year, Chelsea Green disclosed how she got back to World Wrestling Entertainment.

She stated that she first texted Triple H saying she wanted her job back. To her surprise, The Game responded positively, after which they negotiated a deal. A few months later she was back on World Wrestling Entertainment television.

"I texted him [Triple H], and I said, 'I want my job back,' and he said, 'Okay, call me,’ and I was shocked. I want to go back to WWE. My story is not finished. He said on that phone call, ‘I absolutely would love to have you back. Just tell me when’s a good time for you to start,'" she said.

Many believed Green was going to win the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match earlier this year. This was something fans have wanted since her return last year. However, creative booked Tiffany Stratton, instead to push Chelsea Green off the ladder and retrieve the MITB briefcase.

Post-match, the Hot Mess shared a hilarious update about recovering from the loss.
