Former WWE champion out until "after WrestleMania" following recent surgery
A popular WWE star announced that they were injured ahead of tonight's edition of RAW. This week's episode of the red brand will be the first show following Crown Jewel 2024.
Karl Anderson took to Instagram today to announce that he suffered an injury and would be out for the foreseeable future. The former two-time RAW Tag Team Champion thanked his doctor and shared an image of himself seemingly after undergoing surgery. The veteran added that he would provide more details on his podcast with Luke Gallows this coming Thursday. However, he did state that he would be out until at least after WrestleMania 41 next year in Las Vegas.
"Thanks to Dr. Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama for fixing me. See you after #WrestleMania 😘 #WWE #wweraw Details on this weeks #TalkNShop dropping Thursday am. Link in bio @talknshoppodcast Monday Night Raw tonight," he wrote.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are in a tag team known as The Good Brothers. The popular duo also used to be in a faction with AJ Styles and Michin (Mia Yim) known as The O.C., but the group has seemingly disbanded.
Karl Anderson opens up about returning to WWE NXT
WWE star Karl Anderson recently discussed performing in NXT and noted that sometimes it is okay to take a step back.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio earlier this year, The Machine Gun noted he and Gallows are competitive, and would always like to be featured on the main roster. However, the former RAW Tag Team Champion stated that there was a ton of talent in the company and sometimes patience was required.
"I don't know if it's so much that it's not being used the way we think we should be used. [...] WWE, sometimes you gotta sit and you gotta take your time, you gotta be patient and you gotta wait. We're competitive guys, right? So we always wanna be used, we always wanna be on TV, we're always ready and willing to, and we wanna be on RAW, SmackDown, and all the PLEs, but sometimes you gotta take a step back because there's a lot of guys there, a lot of girls there, there's a lot of stuff going on, especially with the last year, the last couple of years, just the way it's been. So, you gotta be patient," Karl Anderson said. [H/T: Post Wrestling]
The Good Brothers captured the RAW Tag Team Championship twice during their time on the main roster. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Karl Anderson when he returns from injury next year.
