Former WWE champion breaks silence following potential heel turn on SmackDown
A popular WWE Superstar teased turning heel against his tag team partner one more time on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The former champion recently shared a social media update following his actions on the blue brand.
On the November 8 edition of SmackDown, Tommaso Ciampa seemed upset with Johnny Gargano for congratulating The Motor City Machine Guns on winning the WWE Team Championship. Later in the show, DIY defeated Pretty Deadly in a Tag Team Match. The win, however, wasn't straightforward as a fired-up Ciampa took out Kit Wilson and Elton Prince all by himself without tagging in his partner.
Earlier today, the 39-year-old broke his silence after teasing a heel turn on SmackDown. He took to his Instagram account to post multiple pictures from the match, depicting his dominant performance on the blue brand with the following message:
"D. I. Y. 🖤," he wrote.

Bill Apter believes Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano could face each other at WWE Royal Rumble
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa had a memorable feud on the black-and-silver brand after the latter turned heel and attacked his long-time friend, The Heart and Soul of NXT. The two performers put forth impressive matches against each other and veteran journalist Bill Apter believes they might soon do the same on the main roster again.
On the latest episode of Smack Talk, Apter opened up about his thoughts on Tommaso Ciampa potentially turning heel. The 79-year-old spoke about the teases dropped on SmackDown. He predicted the two might face each other at WWE Royal Rumble or as early as Survivor Series later this month.
"Ciampa is becoming a better madman than he was originally. And the whole thing with Johnny Wrestling there saying that Alex Shelley was one of my mentors. The two of them disagreeing with each other is setting up a really good pattern here of possibly Ciampa and Johnny splitting up again. [...] I want to see Ciampa in a singles role again because he seems to be much more effective as a heel than he was before. And the way they finished off the match, where he never even tagged Gargano. [...] Maybe on the Rumble card or an undercard, Survivor Series," said Apter. [From 14:50 onwards]

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano became the WWE Tag Team Champions earlier this year. However, their title reign lasted only 28 days, and the duo lost the championship to The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga on the August 2 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
With a heel turn looking extremely likely for Ciampa, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the two former NXT Champions on the blue brand.
