Former WWE champion dethroning Cody Rhodes is "not out of the realm of possibility," according to analyst
Cody Rhodes has a major challenge on this week's SmackDown as he is set to put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match. Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts feels that the current Bloodline leader walking away with the gold is "not out of the realm of possibility."
Sikoa has faced Rhodes for his title once before, at SummerSlam 2024, but the former NXT North American Champion failed to dethrone The American Nightmare due to interference from a returning Roman Reigns. However, The Bloodline got their revenge on the Original Tribal Chief on the blue brand last month and he hasn't been seen since.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts admitted that Solo Sikoa defeating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship inside the Steel Cage cannot be ruled out, especially with a feud against Roman Reigns just around the corner.
The analyst added that the aforementioned outcome would lead to Reigns getting back in the world title picture in the sports entertainment juggernaut.
"The beauty of Solo Sikoa is that as much as he is not Roman Reigns, there is always this feeling where it's atleast a possibility. The idea that they will put the [Undisputed] WWE Championship back on The Bloodline especially when you know that Roman Reigns is coming back and he's coming back to fight The Bloodline. It is not out of the realm of possibility that the [Undisputed] WWE Title is on The Bloodline so that Roman Reigns has a road back to that title and Cody [Rhodes] has to get it from Roman. That's not out of the realm of possibility. That's not crazy. That's very possible," Sam Roberts said. [From 27:35 to 28:10]

Hall of Famer thinks major WWE Superstar, not Solo Sikoa, poses a bigger threat to Cody Rhodes
During a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Bill Apter stated that fans want Cody Rhodes to face Jacob Fatu instead of Solo Sikoa in a singles match.
The wrestling legend further added Cody's reign as champion could be in serious jeopardy if The Samoan Werewolf decides to challenge him for the Undisputed WWE Title.
"I don't think the fans necessarily want to see Solo against Cody Rhodes as much as they want to see the maniacal, the crazy, the nutcase Fatu against Cody. I think with Jacob Fatu against Cody, there is more of a chance that Cody's title might be in danger." [From 05:22 onwards]
It will be interesting to see if either Solo Sikoa or Jacob Fatu manages to bring the world title back to The Bloodline by defeating Cody Rhodes.
