Former WWE champion gets physical with ring announcer at recent show

A popular WWE Superstar got physical with a ring announcer at a recent live event. The name in question is former Women's Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green.

The 33-year-old is one of the most character-driven performers on the blue brand. Green fancies being announced by RAW's Samantha Irvin, who has a unique way of pronouncing her name. On several occasions, she has even asked other personalities to replicate Irvin while announcing her name.

Chelsea Green took it to a whole different level at a recent House Show. The Hot Mess did not like how Blake Chadwick announced her name ahead of her match and got physical with him while demanding a better announcement. Chadwick obliged and tried his best impression of Samantha Irvin.

Chelsea Green faced former Women's Champion Naomi in a singles match at the House Show. Unfortunately, her losing streak continued against The Glow, who recently rejoined forces with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair to help them fight The Unholy Union and Blair Devenport.

Chelsea Green pushing for a wrestling match with WWE's authority figure

Chelsea Green and WWE RAW Manager Adam Pearce have had several memorable backstage segments since The Hot Mess' return to the wrestling promotion. The two have had such an intriguing rivalry that Pearce was overjoyed after Green was drafted to SmackDown earlier this year.

In an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, Chelsea Green claimed she has been pitching for an intergender match against Pearce for some time. The SmackDown Superstar added the contest must have a Winner Becomes General Manager stipulation. Green was confident she would win the bout and replace Pearce as the RAW GM:

"I'm trying. I have been pitching for it for a year now. Oh yeah. I mean, look, I want an intergender match against where the loser, because it is going to be him [Pearce], is not GM. [The] Winner gets the GM position," she said. [From 09:39 to 09: 59]

Despite their regular television appearances, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven have not competed for several weeks. Both last wrestled on televised shows in July, with Green losing to Bianca Belair on July 19 and Niven losing to Bayley on July 5. With WWE heading to Berlin for the upcoming premium live event, it remains to be seen if the two will make the card.
