Former WWE Champion getting involved in the feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre made no sense, says Veteran (Exclusive)

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been at odds ever since the latter made his return to WWE. While the two men got a chance to settle their business inside the squared circle at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins was also involved in the match as a Guest Referee. This did not sit well with wrestling veteran Vince Russo.

Rollins officiated the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at SummerSlam where the Scottish Warrior came out on top. While the Visionary looked set to clash with Punk on RAW last week, he was taken out by Bronson Reed. Following the attack, it was confirmed that Seth was injured and would be on the sidelines for a while.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo questioned WWE's decision to involve Seth Rollins in the heated feud as they already knew that the Visionary was dealing with injury issues and wouldn't be around for long.

"They knew Rollins was banged up, so why involve him in that bro?" [49:24 onwards]

It should be noted that Seth Rollins is dealing with a chronic issue and last week's attack by Bronson Reed was the kayfabe reason to write him off WWE programming. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk continued their feud on RAW last night.
