Former WWE champion is happy Big E got kicked out of The New Day
A lot of fans were shocked when Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods kicked Big E out of The New Day during the group's 10th-anniversary celebration on WWE RAW. Former NXT Champion Ethan Page is one of the few people happy with what happened on Monday.
Many were expecting Kingston or Woods would be violent and attack the other. However, things took a turn after Big E returned to celebrate with his friends. It was Kingston and Woods, who embraced their dark side after saying a lot of bad things about the former WWE Champion.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, All Ego expressed his admiration for Kingston and Woods for what they did to their friend. He even reposted the video of what happened between The New Day members inside the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington.
"Always been a BIG fan of @AustinCreedWins & @TrueKofi 🤣," Page tweeted.
Things have become so personal that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were exchanging insults with Kris Yim, the girlfriend of E. For those unaware, Kris is the sister of SmackDown star Mia Yim.
Potential update on Big E's contract with WWE
Following the huge swerve on RAW, many members of the WWE Universe were curious about Big E's possible return to in-ring action. He has been out since March 2022 after suffering a broken neck on SmackDown. He did not undergo surgery, allowing the fracture to heal by itself.
Unlike many other WWE Superstars who broke their necks, the former member of The New Day fractured his C1 vertebra. It's too close to the skull, and one of the few stars who broke it was Tyson Kidd, who never wrestled again.
According to Fightful via Sports Illustrated, there's no update regarding Big E's potential return to the ring. However, there's an update about his contract with WWE. The trio reportedly signed a five-year deal in 2019, and their contracts are set to expire at the end of the year.
The former WWE Champion reportedly didn't get time added to his deal despite not wrestling for more than two years. He has since worked as a pre-show analyst for the company. It will be interesting to see whether Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods sign a new contract to stay with WWE.
