Former WWE champion never to return again, believes legend, for one important reason
A longtime wrestling veteran and legend recently discussed the return of a former WWE champion inside the ring. Dutch Mantel, formerly known as Zeb Colter, had some questions about Mandy Rose's possible full-time return to pro wrestling.
Rose was released by WWE on December 14, 2022, after around seven years with the company. She was reportedly let go because of her content on an exclusive platform, which was not permitted at the time. She took some time off from wrestling before returning at the recent Black Pro Wrestling event called Crowning Glory on September 4 in Chicago.
Speaking on a recent episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantel, the former WWE manager was asked by a fan about his thoughts on Rose's return. The ex-NXT Women's Champion made a lot of money on her exclusive platform, which is why Mantel was baffled that she would put her body through the rigors of wrestling again.
"Why would she want to go back to wrestling? Why would she want to go back there and travel and put up with that bull crap when she could make all that money and not leave her house?" Mantel said. [0:32 - 0:44]
In addition to her exclusive content platform, Mandy Rose has a skincare line called Amarose and a donut brand with Sonya Deville. Rose also has a podcast with her boyfriend Tino Sabbatelli.
Mandy Rose has no hard feelings against WWE
During an interview with SEScoops earlier this month, Mandy Rose was asked about her shocking release from WWE. Rose has no hard feelings against the company but advised talents that there are more opportunities outside of it.
"I have nothing but positive things to say about WWE. I'm grateful for the platform they presented me with. I just think there are other opportunities out there as well where you can flourish. It doesn't have to be there. I think what other women are doing is awesome. I think I am a good example to show you have a brand and you can do a lot of different things with that brand. You don't have to be subject to just that one company per se," Rose said. (H/T SEScoops)
Mandy Rose is open to returning to wrestling full time although she's still unsure due to her current lifestyle and the changes she had to make. She misses the adrenaline rush of the business but acknowledges how hard it is to be on the road for the majority of the year.
