Former WWE champion praises Chelsea Green despite differences
WWE Superstar Chelsea Green created history last night by winning the Women's United States Championship. She has received praise from many, including one of her rivals and fellow SmackDown Superstar, Naomi.
The Hot Mess faced Michin in the final of the first-ever WWE Women's United States Championship tournament at Saturday Night's Main Event. Both the superstars exchanged blows in an entertaining back-and-forth contest. The Canadian star also received assistance from her tag team partner, Piper Niven.
Chelsea Green jumped off the top rope to hit Michin with a modified version of her finisher, Unprettier, to secure the win. Naomi recently took to her X/Twitter account to praise the 33-year-old for the impressive maneuver to finish the bout while also staying in character at the same time.
"Omg I can’t stand her but that was good🤭," she wrote.

Chelsea Green reflects on becoming the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion
Chelsea Green has been among the most entertaining characters on the roster for a while. The SmackDown Superstar's impressive work over the last few months has made her a crowd favorite despite being a heel.
Chelsea spoke to Bryan Saxton in a WWE Exclusive interview after the historic win. The former Women's Tag Team Champion stated she was confident about winning the title as she had been wrestling for over 10 years. The Hot Mess was thrilled to be in the history books. However, Green claimed she should have been in there earlier.
"Well, Bryan, I always knew this was gonna happen. So, I know you're surprised and that's so cute. But I'm not. I've been doing this for 10 years. I've worked my entire life to be an overnight success, and this is my time. This is my night. Red, white, and green. Say it with me. [...] I would say, duh. I'm in the history books where I belong. I should've been there three years ago, but I was released. I should have been there in 2015, but I wasn't hired. But now's the time, Bryan. Now is the freaking time," she said. [From 0:37 onwards]
