Former WWE champion puts an end to 10-woman tag team match with a rare move
This week’s episode of WWE RAW saw a spectacular ten-woman tag team match unfold in St. Louis. The match featured stars who have been feuding for several weeks. While both teams delivered their best, the babyface vs. heel team showdown was closed by a former WWE champion who used a rare move. The name in question is Lyra Valkyria.
The former NXT Women’s Champion teamed up with Natalya, Katana Chance, Kayden Carter, and Zelina Vega to face Isla Dawn, Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler, and Alba Fyre. Almost as soon as the match began, both sides refused to play by the rules and broke out into a brawl.
The match later got back on track and the referee got the superstars under control again. The final moments of the match saw Zelina Vega lock Sonya Deville into a chokehold. But, The Pure Fusion Collective member easily dragged Zelina’s weight around.
Seeing an opportunity, however, Lyra Valkyria tagged herself in. She then landed a big Peripeteia on the back of Deville’s head, instantly knocking her out and pinning her for the win.
With this, the babyface team got their revenge on PFC for the constant blindsiding attacks.
With the PFC and The Unholy Union focusing on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, it would be interesting to see if this loss pushes them below the duo of Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.
