Former WWE champion references Becky Lynch amid hiatus; uses iconic phrase
A popular WWE Superstar has referenced Becky Lynch ahead of his upcoming match at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. The Man has been absent from television for over five months.
The former WWE Women's Champion last competed in a match on the May 27 edition of Monday Night RAW when she unsuccessfully challenged Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship in a Steel Cage Match. She had lost the title just two days before that to the 30-year-old at King and Queen of the Ring, following interference from Dominik Mysterio. Ahead of the upcoming Saudi Arabian premium live event, Becky's real-life friend and former Universal Champion Kevin Owens referenced her at the Crown Jewel Kickoff Show.
KO will face Randy Orton in a singles match at the premium live event. The 40-year-old made an appearance at Crown Jewel Kickoff Show to confront The Viper for the first time since his suspension last month. Owens was wearing Becky Lynch's iconic phrase, "When Life Gives You Lemons" merchandise t-shirt during the segment.
Current champion extends support to Becky Lynch following her decision to take a break from WWE
Becky Lynch surprised everyone with her decision to take time off professional wrestling. Her WWE contract expired on June 1, and he has yet to ink a new deal with the Stamford-based company. However, The Man has found support amid her absence from several superstars, including her former rival Bianca Belair.
Speaking in an interview with Denise Salcedo earlier this year, the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champion extended her support to the 37-year-old in whatever she wanted to do. She praised Lynch and called the latter her friend outside the squared circle. Belair further opened up about Becky's impact on the women's division.
"I'm just super supportive of Becky, of whatever space she's in right now, what she wants to do. Everyone knows how pivotal Becky was for my career. Not just inside the ring, outside the ring. She's someone that I've always been able to go to and lean on, just for advice and as a friend. I would call Becky my friend. She's someone who has stood up for me, who has led me, who has taught me. We see everything that Becky has done for this division and for the women's division. Being one of the Four Horsewomen, being one of the women that has main-evented WrestleMania," she said.

Becky Lynch has been an integral part of WWE's women's division for some time. It remains to be seen if and when she will return to the Stamford-based promotion.
