Former WWE Champion returning after 3-year absence at WrestleMania 41 could happen, says Dutch Mantell (Exclusive)
While the focus is obviously on WWE SummerSlam, indulging in some WrestleMania 41-related speculation doesn't hurt. Stone Cold Steve Austin's recent comments hinted at his return, and Dutch Mantell believed it would happen in 2025.
The next edition of the two-night mega show will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, in mid-April, and it is expected to be the biggest WrestleMania event in WWE's history.
During a recent interview, Steve Austin claimed he has no plans on leaving the state of Nevada and dropped an unmissable hint about potentially being at WrestleMania 41.
The Texas Rattlesnake last appeared at WrestleMania 38, where he wrestled Kevin Owens in one of the most memorable moments in years. By the time WrestleMania 41 comes around, it will have been almost three years since his absence from the WWE ring.
Dutch Mantell agreed on Sportskeeda Wrestling's latest Smack Talk episode that his good friend Steve Austin could make his comeback at WrestleMania.
"I think so; if he lives there, he just has to go right down the street. I don't think Stone Cold wants to leave and travel some far, far away place because I don't think he is interested in that, but I think we'll see him at WrestleMania, at least, I hope." [39:00 - 39:40]
Dutch Mantell claimed he would love to see Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker at WrestleMania, as The Deadman would ideally be in town for his "1 deadMAN show."
Mantell added:
"I'd like to see both him and 'Taker. You know, Taker would be around there anyway, and he would be doing his show." [39:41 onwards]
Appearances from Steve Austin and The Undertaker would add to WrestleMania's star power, and going by the new regime's decision-making, nothing is out of bounds.
