Former WWE champion teases face turn ahead of SmackDown

The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown will air live from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The show is set to feature some intriguing segments and matches.

Former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been advertised for the show. Elsewhere, the United States Championship and the Women's Tag Team titles will also be defended on the October 11 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Ahead of the show, Piper Niven has teased a face turn with a social media update.

The 33-year-old and her tag team partner have been feuding with Michin for some time. However, Niven and the former OC member were recently involved in a rather friendly conversation on social media. The former Duodrop even teased turning babyface.

"If life had been different, maybe we could have even been friends🤔," wrote Niven in her most recent reply to Michin.

Wrestling veteran wants Piper Niven to wrestle WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax

In her most recent championship match, Piper Niven challenged Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship in her home country of Scotland at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event. The challenger put forth an impressive performance but could not dethrone The Role Model. Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell recently claimed he wanted to see Piper Niven take on Nia Jax.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show earlier this year, Mantell claimed that Piper Niven and Chelsea Green fit together perfectly. He pointed out that usually, the former does all the work while the latter provides the entertainment value. The 74-year-old added that he would like to see Niven lock horns with WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax.

"I liked it. I like Chelsea Green because I know her. She's got a lot of personality. Her and Piper fit together. Piper does the work, and Chelsea does the entertainment value of it. So, it's working for them," said the veteran."I would be interested in seeing Piper and Nia Jax have a match, just to see what they do. Two big girls, I don't know. It maybe good. That's why we watch wrestling, right? We don't know. But I'd be willing to take a chance to see it." [From 45:36 onwards]

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven held the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship for 126 days before losing to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. Unfortunately, after losing the titles, the duo has found it difficult to win matches more often than not, despite making regular television appearances.
