Former WWE champion trains with CM Punk ahead of his return; sends him a heartwarming message

A former WWE champion recently took to social media to send a heartfelt message to CM Punk ahead of the latter's return to in-ring competition. The star in question is Zachary Wentz. Punk has been injured since the 2024 Royal Rumble.

Since Drew McIntyre cut a promo saying he wished The Second City Saint's injury to happen, the duo have been in a heated feud. Although Punk has not wrestled inside the squared circle since Royal Rumble, he has interfered during McIntyre's bouts, costing the latter the World Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions. According to rumors, The Best in the World might return to the in-ring competition to face The Scottish Warrior in a much-awaited match at SummerSlam.

TNA star Zachary Wentz (fka Nash Carter in WWE) recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to post photos from his training with CM Punk at Ace Steel's school, Foundation of Professional Wrestling. The former NXT Tag Team Champion sent a heartfelt message, writing that he was pumped to train alongside The Best in the World.

"Got to train with @CMPunk last night at @acesofsteel School #TheFoundationOfProWrestling. Teenage me would be really really pumped about this.(current me is too)," he wrote.

Former WWE writer would've made Drew McIntyre kidnap CM Punk's dog

During a recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW, former WCW personality Vince Russo said that he would book Drew McIntyre to steal CM Punk's dog, Larry in a storyline.

"Bro, I swear to God, if I'm writing that television, Drew's kidnapping the dog. He's holding the dog hostage. He's feeding the dog bad food like ice cream and all kinds. Bro, I am doing that in a heartbeat. Tomorrow, I am doing that, bro."
