Former WWE manager comments on The Hardy Boyz' potential return to the company (Exclusive)
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell, fka Zeb Colter, shared his thoughts on the Hardy Boyz's (Jeff and Matt Hardy) potential return to the company. Matt and Jeff are one of the greatest tag teams of all time.
However, they failed to make an impact during their recent run in AEW and are now no longer a part of the company. The duo have been showing up in TNA but are allegedly free agents as they have not inked any deal with the promotion. They also recently reportedly met with WWE officials.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's SmackTalk, Dutch Mantell shared his thoughts on the Hardy Boyz, recalling the time he got into a rift with Matt's wife Reby Sky.
"I like them [The Hardy Boyz]. They’re good guys. I like Jeff and Matt. I got into a tiff with his [Matt's] wife one time because I said something on social media and she got all bent out of shape. I didn’t say anything out of the way but she was quick to his defense, which is what a wife should be. I don’t blame her for that. What I said actually faded into the background and then it was just Reba [Hardy] raising hell at me."
The wrestling veteran continued to talk about Matt and Jeff Hardy's potential return while also addressing the recent partnership between TNA and the global juggernaut:
"The thing about the Hardy Boys, how many returns can they make? Now since WWE and TNA have broken through that barrier of not using the same talent, I think it’s a good thing and I am glad that is over. I was just so sick and tired because when I was with WWE, you couldn’t even mention another company. It’s like the damn kiss of death. They’d fire you." [52:31 onwards]
The Hardy Boyz blew the roof off at WrestleMania 33 when they made a shocking return to WWE. However, they ended up leaving the promotion after a few years.
