Former WWE star asks old stablemate not to trust Mustafa Ali
A former WWE star has now asked his old stablemate not to trust Mustafa Ali. This comes after Ali tried to use his help in sending a message across to his upcoming opponent.
During Dijak's main roster run, he was part of the failed faction RETRIBUTION. The group also featured Mia Yim, Shane Thorne, and Mustafa Ali. Ali was the leader of the group. Soon, the group turned on Ali, marking the end of their run as a stable. The group failed to get over with the WWE Universe and were disbanded pretty quickly after a failed run. Following this, Dijak went back to NXT, where he found some success before eventually leaving the company after his contract wasn't renewed by WWE. However, it looks like Dijak may still hold some disdain for Ali.
Ali is set to head to Australia to face Adam Brooks on the 22nd of September. Ahead of this match, Ali took to social media to cut a promo on his opponent and enlisted the help of Shane Thorne to translate his message in an Australian tone and accent. Dijak caught wind of this promo and warned Shane against trusting Ali.
"Don’t trust him, Slapjack."

Mustafa Ali on why his storylines were rejected in WWE
Mustafa Ali is currently doing some of his best work in TNA. His "In Ali We Trust" campaign gimmick has gotten over with the fans and is one of the hottest acts in the company. However, he had originally pitched this character in WWE.
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Ali explained that he first pitched a version of this character in WWE but was rejected due to the controversial nature.
"So the vision [for current character] was brewing in my head since actually the cruiserweight division in the 205 Live days, and there was a couple of instances throughout WWE where you would see, kind of, examples of this character or pitches to this character or maybe one promo would pop up. But eventually, it would get shut down because the general logic with WWE was they don’t do anything political or religious, you know?"
It remains to be seen what comes next for Mustafa Ali as he recently sent a message that he would take a step back from TNA and work more on the independent scene next.
