Former WWE star continues big match despite fracturing bones during the fight
WWE always issues a warning to its viewers and asks them not to replicate any of the moves performed by superstars. Even professionals who have dedicated their lives to this industry run the risk of being injured. This is exactly what recently happened with a former talent of the Stamford-based promotion. However, she continued to compete.
Former WWE Superstar Sarray, who now performs under the name Sareee, is a Japanese pro wrestler. The 28-year-old recently competed in a tag team match at Marigold Summer Gold Shine 2024 at Korakuen Hall. On July 30, she teamed up with her rival Giulia to take on Victoria Yuzuki and Kizuna Tanaka. During the bout, Sareee broke her left wrist. Despite this, she continued the contest.
The Marigold World Champion taped up her hand on the spot and continued the match to claim the victory. It was later revealed that she had suffered a distal left radius fracture. Fortunately, she can recover from her injury without needing surgery. With this, Sareee will likely now take a brief break from pro wrestling.
While the Japanese star will now take some rest, a highly decorated performer is seemingly looking forward to making her long-awaited return.
Charlotte Flair may soon make her WWE return
Charlotte Flair has been away from the ring since December 8, 2023, after tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a match on SmackDown. While the damage endured by The Queen was extensive, the same is true for her determination to be back inside the squared circle.
Flair has been posting several updates on her recovery amid her absence. A recent update in an Instagram Story from the WWE Performance Center suggests her return is imminent.
Right before SummerSlam 2024, the 14-time Women’s Champion had also posted a story where she could be seen traveling with her bags. This fueled the rumors that she was visiting Cleveland for the show. However, she did not appear at the event.
Bayley’s loss at SummerSlam seems to have paved the way for The Queen’s comeback. Upon her potential arrival, Flair may feud against another Queen, Nia Jax. It will be interesting to see whether Flair emerges as Jax’s new opponent while an opportunistic Tiffany Stratton awaits the opportunity to cash in her Money in the Bank contract.
