Former WWE star EC3 reacts to Cody Rhodes' Bayley comment (Exclusive)

Cody Rhodes recently said Bayley and Randy Orton have emerged as WWE locker room leaders over the last few years. While Vince Russo does not think Bayley is good enough to inspire other roster members, EC3 gave a different take on what the role entails.

Russo believes a WWE Superstar must excel in all areas to be viewed as a locker room leader. In Bayley's case, the former WWE writer thinks her promo ability could be a lot better. He also joked that the SmackDown talent's leadership skills are on the same level as the fictional character Winnie the Pooh.

On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 explained to Russo and host Dr. Chris Featherstone why he saw no issue with Rhodes endorsing Bayley:

"I don't think leaders necessarily dictate, I don't wanna say play on the field, but how they play with intent and what they mean in sort of a backstage role. Leadership is a totally different qualification, though I don't disagree with Vince's point. You should be applicable in all assets. I'm not critiquing her promos at all. I think they're all great, and Winnie the Pooh was awesome." [5:09 – 5:36]

In the video above, Russo addressed why Bayley's former opponent Bianca Belair is "not a great worker."

Former WWE star EC3 thinks Bayley criticism is harsh

Vince Russo also criticized Bayley's in-ring performances and claimed many of today's female wrestlers are not good enough.

Responding to Russo's remarks, EC3 argued that wrestlers do not need to tick every box to be well-respected by their peers:

"I think leadership, sometimes it doesn't come down to who is necessarily the best on the field, but who's best at so many other qualifications. It's hard to measure." [5:36 – 5:46]

EC3 agreed with Cody Rhodes that Randy Orton should be considered a locker room leader. He also made a bold statement about The Viper's legacy in the wrestling business.
