Former WWE star interested in returning after 12 years for a match against Rhea Ripley

A former WWE star is interested in having a potential showdown with Rhea Ripley after coming out of retirement just a few months back. The performer in question is Gabbi Alon Tuft, who wrestled her first match in 10 years in June.

She is known for her time in the Stamford-based promotion, where she wrestled under the ring name Tyler Reks from 2008 until her release in 2012. The 45-year-old star altogether retired from the business in 2014 to pursue other interests.

However, Gabbi Alon Tuft surprised fans earlier when she chose to step back inside the ring in June this year after a decade-long absence at a show for the indie promotion, West Coast Pro, where she defeated J-Rod. Although she has yet to have another match since her return, Alon Tuft has remained active on social media, engaging with fans and teasing them about her future.

She recently shared a post asking her followers to name potential opponents for her. When a fan mentioned Rhea Ripley's name in the comments, Gabbi Alon Tuft was quick to respond, sharing her excitement about the potential contest.

"That would cook," Gabbi Alon Tuft replied.

Check out her tweet below:

Both Gabbi Alon Tuft and Ripley boasts of impressive physique and it would certainly be a sight to behold to see the two performers share a ring.

Rhea Ripley is gearing up to challenge Liv Morgan at WWE Bad Blood 2024

Rhea Ripley will get another shot at Liv Morgan's Women's World Championship at Bad Blood 2024 on October 5. Mami had earlier fallen short of capturing the gold at SummerSlam 2024, where she was betrayed by her former Judgment Day stablemate, Dominik Mysterio, in a shocking twist.

However, Rhea Ripley regained her momentum when she pinned Morgan at Bash in Berlin 2024, where she and Damian Priest took on the current Women's World Champion and Dominik in a Mixed Tag Team Match. While it remains to be seen how things pan out for her at the upcoming premium live event, fans would certainly be rooting for Ripley.
