Dutch Mantell recalls working with Eddie Guerrero during one of the lowest points of his career

While Eddie Guerrero was a great in-ring performer, he struggled with drugs, which led to his release from WWE in November 2001. He then went on to work for the World Wrestling Council (WWC) in Puerto Rico, and one of the bookers for that promotion at that time was Dutch Mantell.

Speaking on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the former WWE manager recalled working with Eddie during this time.

"I booked him but Carlos told me what to put him in. I guess, he got booked through Carlos. (...) He was like in withdrawal. I don't know how effective he would have been but he wasn't the Eddie that I knew before. I knew before, not close, but this Eddie was different," Mantell said. [3:13 - 4:03]

Sadly, Eddie passed away so early, as he still had much to contribute to the business.
