Former WWE star recalls being "blocked" while trying to meet Vince McMahon

Former WWE star Gail Kim recently spoke about her experience working with Vince McMahon. The veteran was a special guest on the Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, where she discussed her time in various wrestling promotions among several other topics.

In June 2022, McMahon resigned from his role as the Chairman and CEO of WWE after some allegations of hush money settlement and s*xual misconduct came out. Things got worse earlier this year after a former employee, Janel Grant, filed a lawsuit accusing him of se*xual harassment and coercion. This led Vince to resign from the post of executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings.

In a clip from Story Time with Dutch Mantell, Kim mentioned that she barely had any interaction with the former CEO during her time with WWE. She recalled the one time she walked up to Vince's office to meet him.

The former WWE star mentioned that one of the writers "blocked" her from doing so. She claimed she never tried to meet Vince McMahon again.

"I don't know. He was hard to get to. He always had those people always saying, 'You gotta talk to Vince,' like when you're not being used or when you wanted to pitch something. People would literally wait outside his office, hoping to get a meeting. I remember the one time I attempted to do that, I got blocked by one of the writers. And he was like, 'Yep, no, he's busy. You can't be here, you can't do that.' So I never tried again after that. It was like my one shot I tried at, and I guess I should've tried again, to be honest, but I didn't. It was very intimidating." [From 0:33 - 1:10]

Dutch Mantell also spoke the lines outside Vince McMahon's office

During the same conversation, Dutch Mantell reiterated how some people would line up outside Vince McMahon's office to meet with the boss.

He claimed people would be waiting in line for hours to get an audience with Mr. McMahon.

"It was weird with Vince. When people wanted to talk to him, they would form a literal line outside the office he was in. They would sit down, they would park themselves there for sometimes two or three hours." [From 1:11 - 1:25]

Vince McMahon recently listed his TKO shares for sale. It will be interesting to see if he ever finds a mention on WWE TV again in the future.
