Former WWE star recalls Vince McMahon screaming at the monitor during Damian Priest's match
It's been a while now since Vince McMahon's ouster from WWE, but most current talents have had their fair share of interactions with the former boss. Dijak recently revealed a story of McMahon screaming at Gorilla Position during a Damian Priest match.
The World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest, has come a long way in establishing himself as a top WWE Superstar. However, he might not have been doing everything according to how Vince McMahon wanted back when the veteran was still in charge.
Dijak appeared on Ringside With WhattaDay Joe Lowry and revealed an incident involving Mr. McMahon.
During one of Damian Priest's matches, McMahon apparently wanted the Judgment Day member to grab his opponent and could be heard furiously screaming at the monitors. Dijak hilariously revealed how others backstage reacted, as Priest would have never been able to hear McMahon.
"I remember one time we were in Gorilla, and Damian Priest was wrestling, and he just like started screaming. We're the next match up, and he just starts screaming at the monitor, like, Priest can't hear him obviously, he was like, 'Grab him, Damian! Grab him! You've got to grab him!' Everybody in Gorilla just stops, and they are like, looking at him, like, 'Vince, he can't hear you. You're just screaming at a monitor.' (laughs)" [13:16 - 13:44]
Dijak on how Vince McMahon really was backstage in WWE
The stories of Vince McMahon's unpredictable demeanor are well-known in pro wrestling. There have been various reported instances where McMahon ripped scripts up and made his frustrations loudly known.
Dijak, who spent several years in WWE until his recent exit, admitted that McMahon lost his cool at various moments regarding talent and personnel.
Vince, however, was also "very calm" for a long time during Dijak's interactions with the 78-year-old.
"I mean, there are a million anecdotes of just Vince losing his mind and screaming at people. In moments, yeah (on if Vince was a hot head). It certainly depended on the situation. A lot of times, he was very calm, like a grandfather figure, but when he got mad, he would start screaming." [From 12:50 onwards]
The talents who allegedly got screamed at have no reason to worry, as Vince McMahon seemingly has no way back into WWE due to multiple legal troubles.
